Last week Uncle Chris sent Lulu an APPLE TREE! She was so excited when it arrived, it even came with a children's book about apples...it is the cutest thing ever! Lulu had to get her "gardening gloves" and help Michael dig, plant, and water her new friend. We checked on the apples today, but there weren't any. It's tough trying to tell a 2 year old that there may be apples in 2-5 years. Hahaha, she loves it anyway!!
This is the view from my kitchen window. I love looking out and seeing our newest addition to the yard.
A few years ago Michael planted one of my very favorite flowers in our yard. I had these in my wedding bouquet along with some ranunuculas (also some of my favorite). We've never seen any flowers and thought it was hopeless. Looky, looky!!

Glorious! Nothing soothes the soul like planting a tree, shrub, or flower in God's good earth; or discovering that first long-awaited bloom!
Just be patient, Lucy; you will pick your first apple from Uncle Chris's apple tree one of these days and it will be soooooo sweet!
