A few weeks ago the children were off school for the entire week due to ice and snow. It was a long and fun week! The snow decided it wasn't finished with Nashville so it's baaaaack. They were off Thursday and Friday of this week and we built (and we means Michael and the kids) a snowman named Trailoff, colored our hands off, did some chores, and watched movies. We get a little sick of each other at times though...
Anyway, since the house is semi-wrecked and the kids are entertained with the snow I'm ditching all chores to pound out Christmas 2014.
We shot for the moon on our Christmas card this year and snapped 30 pics and took the best.
We always start the season by picking our tree and everyone has an opinion. This was by far my favorite.
It was a little big and the star wasn't going to fit--somehow we squeezed it on, but if you brushed by the tree it was going to fall.
I've separated all of their ornaments into small boxes so now they have their own box of ornaments they've made and received throughout the years. Sadly, I'm totally attached to all of them....broken and bent- I love them all.
We continued on this year by filling our manger with good deeds on a piece of hay. It's the only thing under our tree until Christmas Eve. (plus, there's no temptation for a certain one year old to rip all wrapped gifts.)
We decorated the house and did a lot of cooking this year.
Fatty:
Bubby learned to crack his first eggs. He was very proud...
Mary was up in everyone's business.
Cinnamon rolls for neighbors and friends...
Writing our letters to Santa...
On Christmas Eve, our parish allows the children to dress up as angels and shepherds for the children's Mass. We missed the memo last year, but all three had fun with it this year.
Food for the reindeer:
Lucy read Twas the Night Before Christmas...
Christmas Day gifts and best memories:
Lucy received an ugly orange sweatshirt from Michael and a pogo stick which she dominates.
Emilia loves her art supplies...
We totally let "Grumpy Tornado DoDo" sleep while we opened gifts that morning. The kids were puzzled as to why she only got a sippy. They are only babies once. :)
This was one of Lulu's favorite Christmas memories. Dodo looked her and said, "Hold you?"
